Drone crashes into Seattle Great Wheel; police looking for operator

SEATTLE -  Seattle police are investigating after a drone crashed into the spokes of the Seattle Great Wheel and plummeted to the deck below Wednesday evening around 5 p.m.

Witnesses said the white drone with four blades crashed through a plastic table below the wheel, leaving a huge hole in it.  Fortunately, there was nobody sitting at the table at the time.

The Great Wheel continued to turn and doesn’t appear to be damaged. The camera was knocked off the drone and the blades continued to turn as officers removed it as evidence.

The drone’s operator has not been located.
