Deputies investigating homicide in Graham, suspect in custody
GRAHAM, Wash. - Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a murder in Graham early Sunday morning.
Deputies were called to a shooting on Kapowsin Highway at 2:50 a.m. When they arrived, they identified a 28-year-old man with gunshot wounds and about 20 people standing around him. Deputies attempted life-saving measures but the man died.
Witnesses told deputies that an argument between him and another man escalated into a shooting, and the suspect had gone into a house nearby.
A 39-year-old man was arrested and booked into the Pierce County Jail for second-degree murder.
Kapowsin Highway is closed near Hanson Road while the sheriff's office investigates.
