Couple accused of assaulting, robbing Jake Harris of 'Deadliest Catch' arrested in Spokane

EVERETT, Wash. -- A couple accused of assaulting and robbing a "Deadliest Catch" cast member in Everett Saturday night have been arrested in Spokane County, the Everett Police Department said Tuesday.

At about 8 p.m. Saturday, police officers responded to the 700 block of SE Highway 526 to investigate a report of an injured man on the side of the highway. They found a victim, later identified as Deadliest Catch's Jake Harris, with injuries to his head and neck. He told officers he had been at the Quil Ceda Creek Casino in Marysville, where he met up with a man, the man's girlfriend and another woman he befriended the day before.

The man and his girlfriend agreed to give Harris a ride home and they drove him into Everett. Harris said that after making a stop, the man, who was sitting behind him, started to assault him as they drove. He said he blacked out and woke up on the side of the highway with his wallet and $2,400 cash missing.

Everett Police said detectives  worked  with Harris, who has been hospitalized in Everett, to identify the suspects involved. As of Tuesday evening, probable cause was developed and two suspects were arrested in Spokane, police said.

Everett detectives will take custody of the two, police said, and return them to Everett where they will be booked into the Snohomish County Jail on probable cause charges for robbery. The case remains under investigation.
