Bothell police detective found not guilty of sexual misconduct with minor

SEATTLE -- A Bothell police detective has been found innocent on all charges of sexual misconduct with a former Bothell High School student, alleged to have taken place while she was serving as a school resource officer.

Dione E. Thompson, 45, was found not guilty Tuesday.

Thompson was accused in February of having sex with a student in 2010 and charged with first-degree sexual misconduct.

When questioned, Thompson denied having sex with the former student. She was placed on paid administrative leave while an internal investigation is conducted.
