Bikes and bagels: The perfect start to Friday!



SEATTLE -- Downtown Seattle bike commuters will gather this morning to celebrate National Bike Month.

The 3rd Annual Bikes and Bagels for Downtown Commuters occurred Friday morning in McGraw Square.

Bikers were encouraged to stop by Fifth Avenue and Stewart Street in downtown Seattle from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. to get a quick breakfast and learn all about biking to work.

Mayor Mike McGinn planned to speak at 8:30 a.m.

Commute Seattle estimates 6,000 bikers commute into downtown daily.
