Beat the back to school "critters". What you need to know about Lice.

Back to school is a busy time for kids and sadly for lice.  Nancy Gordon, owner of Lice Knowing You, says when kids head back to class, she sees more cases of lice.

She says a couple things you should know about lice...

They're mostly spread through head-to-head contact.  Also, she says 99% of lice live on the human head, and typically die after 12 hours off the head.  That means you don't have to throw out your linens and move out of your house.  Also, Nancy says the best way to treat lice is manually removing them with a fine tooth comb.
