Back to normal at Renton Boeing plant after suspicious package found

RENTON, Wash. -- A "suspicious package" turned out to be a false alarm Thursday morning at the Boeing plant in Renton.

One building was evacuated as a precaution and several nearby roads were briefly closed.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Port of Seattle Police were called to the scene.

Renton police said just after noon that the package was recovered and found empty.

No further information was immediately available.
