Baby Jesus stolen from capitol

OLYMPIA -- Have you seen baby Jesus?

The baby Jesus statue was stolen from the manger in a nativity scene on the Capitol campus in Olympia over the weekend.

The traditional display included Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus in a wooden stable and is located on the southeast corner of the campus.

The figurine was taken sometime between Saturday night and early Sunday morning, according to Jim Erskine, spokesperson for the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services.

The nativity was put up by Ron Wesselius from Tumwater. Anyone with information or the whereabouts of the manger figurine are encouraged to call the Olympia Police Department's non-emergency line at (360) 753-8300.
