Amber alert canceled: Boy found safe, dad surrenders, police say



BOTHELL, Wash. -- An Amber Alert for a 1-year-old boy who police said was kidnapped by his father was canceled just before 4:30 Friday morning.

In a tweet, the Bothell Police Department  announced the boy was safe and that they were continuing to look for the father.

At about 6:30 p.m. Friday, police tweeted that the father, Terrence Lee-Hammond, had turned himself in to detectives.



Police said Terrance Lee-Hammond had taken his son from the boy's mother at gunpoint and drove away.
