Aerial video shows large rockslide blocking road along Lake Chelan

CHELAN, Wash. -- A large rockslide came down over S. Lakeshore Rd Thursday morning in Chelan.

Aerial video shared with Q13 News by GoLakeChelan.com shows the scope of the slide.

WSDOT officials are evaluating the slide and say they are concerned about what appears to be an unstable rock hanging above the slide area.

Until officials can further assess the slide, it is too dangerous to send workers in to start clearing it.

Traffic is being detoured to Navarre Coulee Road for the time being.
