4-year-old girl ejected from Idaho potato truck

ABERDEEN, Idaho (AP) — Idaho police are investigating a crash that ejected a 4-year-old girl from a potato truck north of Aberdeen.

The Idaho State Journal reports Embre Viles was not seriously injured. Police say she was in the potato truck Tuesday afternoon with a woman believed to be her mom when a Nissan pickup hauling a trailer made a left turn without rear signal or taillights.

Viles was not in a car seat.

Authorities say 25-year-old Breanne Viles of Aberdeen tried to avoid the pickup as she traveled southbound on Highway 39, but struck the trailer. The potato truck overturned.

The woman and child were taken to the hospital, treated and released.
