1 killed in Federal Way shooting; police searching for suspects



FEDERAL WAY -- Police are investigating after one person was shot and killed Thursday afternoon in Federal Way.

Around 2:15 p.m., police received reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 2500 block of South 286th Place. Police found a 24-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police are searching for two men who witnesses reported leaving the area on foot shortly after the shooting.  The first suspect is described as a black male in his 20's, 6-foot tall, wearing a grey shirt and jeans. The second suspect is a black male in his 20's, 5'10" tall with a thin build and unknown clothing.

A white Chevy Malibu with unknown plates was reported leaving the area of the shooting.

Police are still investigating. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to call 911.
