Mercer Island High School band set to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

SEATTLE - A local high school band is getting ready to take part in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.

Mercer Island High School is one of only six schools from around the nation chosen to perform.

Macy’s donated a scholarship to help pay for the trip and the rest of the costs are covered by fundraisers, so every student who wants to go can attend. 

The band sets out for New York this Sunday.
