SEATTLE -
Local band Grammatrain's latest release, "The Last Sound," has gone viral on the internet, thanks to fans of the Seattle Sounders FC.
Lead singer Pete Stewart, also a Sounders FC ticket holder, says he was inspired to write and produce the song after attending Sounders games last year.
"The game atmosphere's so inspiring being there that I thought I would try to make a song to try and capture that," Stewart said.
The band posted a request for members of the Emerald City Supporters to help them record a chorus for the song. About 20 members showed up, and the rest is history.
The song will be played for the first time at Qwest Field on Saturday when the Sounders FC host the New York Red Bulls.
