You know the holidays are officially here when Pacific Northwest Ballet's Nutcracker begins!Pacific Northwest Ballet's Nutcracker kicks-off its annual holiday run this Friday, November 27th, and continues through December 30th.
With choreography by PNB Founding Artistic Director Kent Stowell and set designs by renowned children's book author and illustrator Maurice Sendak, "Nutcracker" draws from E.T.A. Hoffman's "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King." Add Tchaikovsky's classic score, and you have the holiday-themed ballet drama that has wowed audiences since first debuting to national acclaim in December 1983.
In addition to annual Seattle performances, PNB has performed Nutcracker in Vancouver, Portland, and Minneapolis.
