EVERETT—
Phyllis Friske never saw it coming. She was standing innocently at the curb with her groceries in a cart at the Safeway at 4128 Rucker Avenue on Friday, February 26th when the scene unfolded in a snap right in front of her.
Three teens, two white, one black, charging out of the store with two cases of beer in their hands.
And while two of the boys were able to avoid her, the third plowed right into her, knocking her head into the concrete, and knocking her out cold.
People rushed from out of the store to help the 74-year-old, but not one of the teens stopped to help.
Now three weeks later, she says she can still feel the hit.
"I had a concussion and I had bleeding on the brain," Friske explains, "and I have very, very deep bruising on my left hip and leg, so I haven't been very frisky lately."
The head injury also forced her to miss a week of work.
Now she wants justice.
"I just hope they will see themselves on television, realize that they can be identified, and will suck it up and come forward, and take their licks," says Friske, "get on with their lives in a a better manner without having to go through this again, I mean this is stupid, beer is not that important."
The three suspects are described as two white males and a black male, and all appear to be in their late teens to early twenties.
Their getaway car was a white 4-door Ford Taurus with a dent in the right rear quarter panel.
