REDMOND -
A Redmond construction worker is dead -- after he fell about 30 feet from the roof of a house.
The man in his late 30's died Tuesday night at Harborview Medical Center.
He suffered severe head injuries after falling from the roof of a house being built on 161st Court Northeast, just east of Redmond-Woodinville Road.
He initially survived the fall.
Co-workers came to his aid and called 911.
"They're definitely disturbed, as anybody would be when something this serious happens," said Jim Bove, spokesperson for the Redmond Police Department. "Our hearts and our thoughts go out to the company, to the families, and the people involved."
Rescuers airlifted the man to Harborview -- where he passed away hours later.
The hospital has not released his name.
