Seattle—
The busiest shopping day of the year is kicking off early at some stores in the Seattle area.Due to a deadly stampede at a New York Wal-Mart last year, the chain is now staying open all night to avoid over eager crowds.
Shoppers can line up behind door buster deals inside the store starting at 9:00 PM Thanksgiving night. At 3:00 AM managers will let everyone now whether there are enough of those items to go around. At 5:00 shoppers can start checking out at the front of the store.
Some Black Friday shoppers are all about going traditional though. Tommy Truong was first in line at the Tukwila Best Buy. He got there at 3:00 AM Thanksgiving morning.
"I'm going to look at the laptops. There is one I want for $199. And then an LED TV which is $1,000 off," says Truong.
Most stores open on Black Friday between 4:00-6:00 AM. Some open at midnight, including Toys R' Us.
