Tacoma Rescue Mission Needs Your Help To Feed The Needy
TACOMA - A local company is asking you to help them help all people in need of emergency services such as shelter and food on Thanksgiving.

The Tacoma Rescue Mission on 425 South Tacoma Way helps the homeless or hurting to become better people. And this year, with the tough economy, a lot of people are struggling to put food on the table.

"We're all about life transformation," said David Curry, Tacoma Rescue Mission's CEO. "We don't want to just help people sustain themselves in homelessness. We want to help them get off the street and back into productive lives. We have school, drug rehabilitation and other really important things to transform their lives and have a better life."

The Good Neighbor Café at the mission offers free, healthy and well-balanced meals 365 days a year. Breakfast and dinner meals are provided for all low-income and homeless individuals in the community.

But on Thanksgiving, there's an extra effort to make sure everybody has something to eat. You can help by dropping off a turkey or even a box of stuffing to 425 South Tacoma Way today.
