REDMOND -
A 14-year-old Redmond girl is safe, but shaken, after police say two men tried to abduct her.
Redmond police say the girl was standing near the intersection at the corner of Avondale Road and NE 90th Street Wednesday afternoon, when a light blue van with two men inside pulled up alongside her.
Police say the passenger yelled "come here" several times, than opened his door and tried to grab her. The girl turned and ran in the opposite direction as the van sped off.
Police got a description of the men from the girl. They say the driver is thought to be a Hispanic male in his mid to late 40's with a thick build, "messy" black hair, double chin, wrinkles, and dark "tanned" skin.
Police say the passenger is described as a Hispanic male in his early 40's with a heavy build, dark "tanned" skin tone, and black hair. He stands approximately 5'6" to 5'8" and has a pointed nose with a bump in the bridge of it.
Police say they were driving a light blue mid-to-late '90's family minivan.
