The latest round of nasty weather to hit Western Washington has closed U.S. 101 in two different areas. But that's only one of several major routes being hit hard.
Here is a rundown of the hazards out there right now:
--SR 109: closed in both directions in multiple locations between milepost 0 and milepost 40 with debris and/or trees over the roadway.
--U.S. 101: closed in both directions between mileposts 324 and 330 north of Shelton near Hoodsport due to a mud slide.
--U.S. 101: closed in both directions from milepost 95 to milepost 124 near Hoquiam due to trees down on the road.
--SR 20: closed in both directions at the pass from milepost 134 to milepost 171 due to avalanche danger.
--SR 112: closed at milepost 2, where a slide is blocking the road. Traffic is reduced to one lane with alternating traffic in both directions.
--SR 16: experiencing strong winds at milepost 7 on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
--SR 410: closed in both directions between mileposts 104 and 108 due to a landslide. The emergency access route on Nile Loop Road is open to all drivers. The route detours around the four-mile closed section. Crews are holding off on fixing the area around the landslide because of worries about more flooding after the landslide re-routed the Naches River and damaged several homes. Crews are trying to rescue stranded fish and divert the river to allow drivers to have a safe route through the area this fall and winter.
--FERRY ALERT: On Tuesday, the 8:30 p.m. from Port Townsend and the 9:15 p.m. from Keystone are cancelled due to tidal conditions. There will be an extra 9:00 p.m. Port Townsend and a 9:45 p.m. Keystone sailing.
