Several Arlington Businesses Destroyed In Early Morning Fire
ARLINGTON - Fire investigators are trying to determine what sparked a fire that destroyed four businesses in Arlington.

Crews were first called to the Smokey Point Plaza at about 3:30 a.m. Monday. When they arrived, the Smokey Point Pawn Shop was in flames, and the fire was spreading through the strip mall's attic to other businesses. By the time crews were able to put out the flames, four businesses were destroyed and two others severely damaged.

Firefighters say they could hear explosions when they got to the scene, and suspect ammunition at the pawn shop exploded in the fire.

No one was injured in the fire.
