SNOHOMISH COUNTY -
Gusty winds have caused some power outages throughout Snohomish county right now.
At one point Friday evening, more than 6,400 customers were without power.
Most of those homes and businesses have now been restored.
Snohomish County PUD officials now say that number is down to about 750, mostly in the Alderwood area and in the Lake Goodwin area near Stanwood.
North of Stanwood there were also a number of outages, but the power there has also been restored.
The outages were due to heavy rain and strong winds -- causing tree branches to fall on power lines.
Downed trees are also causing problems for drivers in Whatcom County.
State Route 20 near Newhalem is shut down in both directions, after trees crashed into power lines and blocked the roadway.
