EVERETT -
Police are still trying to figure-out who hit and killed a 15-year-old girl as she walked along the highway near Everett.
Someone hit Heather Trickler as she walked along Highway-2 on May 30th, but didn't stop. Investigators believe she was struck and killed by a blue over tan 1995 Chevrolet Astro Van. Police say the van sustained passenger side damage to its headlight, which was cracked, and to the passenger mirror and antenna, which were torn off.
Investigators think Heather was with a young man when she was hit. Heather's dad is hoping that man will come forward and give them information about what happened.
Rob Trickler told Q13 Fox News, "Obviously Heather trusted him enough to escort her home and we're hoping he'll follow through with that and do the right thing."
Trickler says a two day garage sale will be held Friday August 14th and Saturday August 15th in Everett to raise money for reward money. It'll be held from 8am to 6pm at the Rocking Horse at 2201 Everett Ave.
Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to a thousand dollars for information leading to the arrest and charge of whoever killed Heather.
