Issaquah - King County Sheriff detectives have recovered four handguns and 25 spent cartridges from last weekend's shooting at Lake Sammamish State Park.

Two of the guns were in a car stopped leaving the scene. One gun was found in a marsh area near picnic tables, and the fourth was found near the body of 30 year old Justin Cunningham.

Relatives say Kang Keovongphet was the 33-year-old Kent man who died in the shooting. Keovongphet's stepsister, Sakorn Keopanya says her stepbrother was trying to break up the fight when he was caught in the cross fire.

King County Sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart say an argument led people in two groups to pull out guns. Police say members of the groups may have had gang affiliations, but investigators still don't know if that played a role in the violence.

Detectives still don't know who shot Cunningham. Detectives also do not know who shot the other dead man. They say there are several possibilities, but until ballistic evidence is analyzed by the State Patrol Crime Lab, there are no definitive conclusions says detectives.

Three other people were wounded during the shooting, however none of the injuries are life threatening. The victims include a 20 year-old North Bend man, a 22 year-old Seattle man, and a 16 year-old from Renton. All were treated at Harborview Medical Center.

A fourth victim was treated at Overlake Hospital. He was beaten after the shooting, and his injuries are not serious.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses and preparing evidence for the Crime Lab.

Authorities closed the park Sunday to comb through the area for evidence.

Witnesses say they heard as many as 20 gunshots Saturday. "It sounded like a brick of fireworks," one woman said.

"This happened just before sunset, with lots of people in the park," Urquhart said. "It was a very chaotic scene. We found bullet holes in Styrofoam, in coolers."

"My wife and kids and I were here when it happened and we took cover behind a picnic bench. About a hundred people were running everywhere. It was pandemonium and chaos," says one eyewitness.

Authorities questioned every visitor as they left the park and took down their names and addresses as part of the investigation.

No arrests have been made and authorities have declined to identify which gangs may be connected with the shooting.
