Families must act now to receive $40 converter box coupons. The Government is urging people who still do not have converter boxes for their tv's, to apply for the coupons as soon as possible. The program will be ending on July 31st.The recent transition to DTV was big a success for viewers and broadcasters.
But some families are feeling disconnected for reasons ranging from problems with installing converter boxes, to challenges receiving local broadcasters' varying signal strengths.
For most families who rely on over-the-air signals, making the transition to digital has come at some out-of-pocket expense, as they've had to cover the difference between the coupon and the converter box, and in many buy upgraded antennas.
