MUKILTEO -
The Washington State Patrol says it has video confirmation that someone jumped off the ferry boat Cathlamet Monday morning. This after the Coast Guard suspended its search for a missing man near the ferry dock in Mukilteo.
Authorities were searching for the owner of a car left on a ferry. The car arrived early Monday morning at the ferry terminal in Clinton but its driver was nowhere to be found.
For several hours rescue boats and a helicopter crew from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island searched the water for signs of the owner. They didn't find the man.
They ended their search after about three hours, saying nobody could have survived spending that amount of time in the water.
Troopers won't release the video to the public. So far the identity of the person who jumped off the ferry has not been released.
