Skinned and dissected cadavers have been fascinating and repulsing people since "The Bodies Exhibit" began its tour. But could it be banned from returning to Seattle?

But before its next appearance, The Seattle City Council may be demanding a "permission slip." The council is considering an ordinance that would make it unlawful to display to the public, human remains for consideration or commercial purposes without valid written authorization from the deceased.

In this case, the deceased are the cadavers in the exhibits - cadavers organizers say come from a medical school in china. Dr. Roy Glover , the medical director of the Seattle exhibit said, "These bodies are all unclaimed, when these individuals died.. No family member or next of kin was present, no one came forward to claim the body."

Some people don't buy it. Speculation is that the cadavers belonged to executed Chinese prisoners.

A vote on the proposed ordinance could come next month.
