Couple Asks For Refund After Cruise Ship Cancels Mexican Voyage
SEATTLE - There's controversy in the fallout of the Swine Flu outbreak.

A California couple is taking Carnival Cruise Lines to court because their trip to Mexico was re-routed to Canada.

Ralph Castro and Marjorie Silva love cruises and couldn't wait to board Carnival's vessel, "The Splendor" to hang out with friends in Mexico.

So when the cruise line changed the itinerary and ported here in Seattle before heading to Canada, they cancelled.

Castro and Silva want a full refund, but say carnival is holding their money hostage.

."Give us back the money we paid, Carnival, and then we can decide to do with that," said Castro.

Carnival says none of their cruises were canceled. When vessels are re-routed, it's company policy to offer full refunds in the form of future cruise credits.

Carnival says they'll meet with the couple Thursday in small claims court.
