SEATAC -
Two women were reportedly attacked Sunday night by a group of four young persons and a pit bull. The group's oldest teenager was a 15-year-old girl, and the youngest was 11.
The King County Sheriff's office says that the attack began around 6:30 PM in the 13300 block of Des Moines Memorial Drive in SeaTac.
A 63-year-old Seattle woman told police that she saw the group of four kids repeatedly kicking a pit bull dog. She stopped her car, assuming the group was in trouble. The witness told authorities that the 15-year-old girl then told the woman to mind her own business, and then proceeded to pull the woman from her car.
That's when police say the woman was attacked by the girl, who repeatedly punched her on the head and back. One of the boys in the group reportedly ran over with the dog who began biting her. Eventually, the group of kids ran off with the dog.
The victim suffered bruises from the beating and puncture wounds from the dog on her hand and thigh.
A 41-year-old Seattle woman witnessed the attack and proceeded to follow the group to North SeaTac Park. Police say the 15-year-old realized they were being followed, walked up to the woman head-butted her and then began punching her head and body.
The dog then apparently became increasingly violent. Authorities say that the rest of the group egged it on. The 41-year-old woman suffered serious bite injuries, including wounds to her head and face, as well as gashes and puncture wounds to both arms. Her left forearm was flayed open so severely that bone was visible.
The suspects are 15, 13, 12, and 11 years old respectively. All are boys except for the 15 year-old. Deputies turned the dog, known as Snaps, over to Animal Control. Sheriff's detectives say that they will likely file felony assault charges against at least the 15 year-old.
