Man Admits He Shot Dog and Left It To Die
A man suspected of shooting and abandoning a dog has turned himself into police.

According to King County Animal Control, the man, who said he was having behavioral problems with his four-year old Rottweiler, admitted that he took it to a U.S. Forest Service road near North Bend and shot it. He told police he didn't think he could afford to have the dog put down.

He left the dog there. It was found - still alive - by people who contacted authorities.

Despite emegency care from a vet, the dog was severely hurt and was eventually etuthanized.

The man, who has not been identified, was questioned and released while the county considers charges.

A reward had grown to $15,000.
