Tacoma -
A 33-year-old Renton man has died after state troopers say he crashed his SUV into a dozen cars at a Parkland dealership, near Tacoma. Investigators say Anthony T. McDonald's 2003 Jeep Cherokee was still running when they came across the scene at about 3:30am.
Troopers believe McDonald was driving north on State Route 7 approaching State Route 512 at a high rate of speed when his SUV rolled and came to rest on top of cars parked at the Parkland Chevrolet dealership. McDonald was thrown from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
General Manager Tim Shea estimates damage to the dealership's vehicles at $200,000-$400,000.
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in this crash.
