A 5 year old boy is dead and a 3 year old girl was taken to Harborview Medical Center after a tragic crash in unincorporated Gold Bar.
Deputies say the crash happened at about 2pm on Fir Road. Deputies report that the driver, a 27 year old male driver, had veered off the road and struck a tree.
The five year old boy was in the backseat alongside the 3 year old girl. It is unknown what her injuries are.
The driver suffered facial and back injuries and is being transported by ground to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Deputies believe the 3-year-old girl was in a child seat. It is not yet known if the 5-year-old boy was in a child seat or if he was wearing a seatbelt.
