SEATTLE -
King County is working with a number of organizations to educate parents about health care options for their children.
Statewide there are approximately 70,000 children without health insurance. Many of these families are eligible, but parents do not know their children qualify for free or low-cost health coverage.
According to King County, a family of four with a monthly household income of up to $5,513 could qualify for assistance.
This week, Apple Health for Kids is working to enroll eligible children at a number of local events throughout King County.
They will take place:
* Tuesday, March 23, 5:00 - 7:30 pm at HealthPoint SeaTac 4040 S 188th St, SeaTac * Thursday, March 25, 5:00 - 7:30 pm at HealthPoint Federal Way 33431 13th Pl S, Federal Way * Friday, March 26, 1:00 - 6:30 pm at HealthPoint Auburn 126 Auburn Avenue, 4th floor, Auburn * Saturday, March 27, 12:00-4:00 at Celebrate Woodinville 2010 Carol Edwards Center 17401 133rd Avenue NE, Woodinville
