POULSBO—
A crash involving a van that rolled off Highway 3 north of Poulsbo has left four people in critical condition after some of the victims were thrown from the vehicle.Three of the passengers in the van were children, two of which were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.
State troopers say the crash left debris all over the road.
The van was an older Ford Econoline with Oregon plates that may have been converted into a camper.
That's why the crash left behind so much debris.
Police believe two of the children were seated in a bench type seat which came unbolted and was ejected.
Another child appears to have been seated in the front between both parents, but it's unknown if that child was belted in.
The van's roof sheared off as it flipped off the highway.
The van appears to have lost both rear wheels. Driver went off roadway and rolled possibly twice down embankment.
Two adults and one of the children were transported to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton.
The investigation into how the crash happened kept the northbound lanes of the highway closed until early afternoon.
