SPECIAL ELECTION: School Election Ballots Being Counted, Voters To Decide Fate Of Local Schools
Local schools are breathing a sigh of relief as it's starting to look like they will be getting billions of dollars from voter-approved levies. Early returns show school levies are passing across the state.

Some districts seeking voter approval to sell bonds or levies build new buildings are not sure if those measures will pass. bonds require a 60-percent super-majority.

A bond measure in the Lake Washington School District is failing in early returns. The bond would pay for converting the district's high schools from three-year schools to four-year schools to ease overcrowding in other schools.

A construction bond in Marysville is also failing. A capital levy in Federal Way also appears to be failing.
