Scantily-clad baristas are back.Just as communities across Washington are passing new ordinances to protect the public from illegal activity at **some of the controversial espresso stands.
One such business is taking things to a whole new level.
Until now if you wanted to see a scantily clad barista you had to live in the Pacific Northwest and Pull up to a drive through window but because of Peek-A-Brew Espresso in Bonney Lake Now you can see them from the comfort of your own home.
Peek-A-Brew Espresso is a thriving family business.
Kendra Harrington is the owner. She says, "My sister Randy is the Manager and business is awesome."
Most people would call it a bikini espresso stand, but it's not really.
The baristas only wear sexy lingerie.
Harrington says, "We are very strict on what the girls wear. What they can and can't, If it's showing too much just because we're not like that. We're not trying to sell THAT."
But make no mistake about it they know sexy sells, so they're branching out.
There are six cameras placed all over the stand and everything that happens inside is streamed *live* on their website Brewistas.com.
It's the brainchild of big brother Skyler Damery. He says, "The internet is huge... Things go viral everyday. Something on YouTube. It happens everyday and we want a part of it."
The site went live just last month and already there are more than 100 members.
Customers like Al Seeley. Seeley says, "You can go on and see who is working and what they're wearing and so yeah it's kinda nice. It's kind of a neat thing."
But as you might imagine not everyone approves of the new venture.
Some say it takes a business they'd rather not have in their neighborhood, and exposes it with the rest of the world.
Ann Argo doesn't like the idea of putting this type of business all over the internet. Argo says, "I don't think it's OK. There are better ways for people to make money. If they're gonna stand out there half naked they should be in somewhere else where it's not out where everybody else can see it."
