Parella joined Washington’s Most Wanted in August 2009. She specializes in cold cases and murder mysteries. Working with local law enforcement, families of victims and drawing from her own experience in law enforcement, she is helping to bring criminals to justice one case at a time.
Before getting into television, Parella spent time working as a reserve officer for the Lafayette city police department in Lafayette, Louisiana. She graduated the police academy in 1999, where she underwent rigorous physical training, over 40 hours advanced firearms training, defensive tactics training and specialized conditioning in several other fields. During her time in law enforcement, she also worked undercover. She was one of the few women who volunteered for specialized assignments and helped catch several bad guys.
While working in law enforcement, she was also vice co-chair of Lafayette Teen Court, an organization that worked with first time young offenders in hopes of turning their lives around.
She was awarded the coveted “Blue Knight” award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving after chasing down a drunk driver and going above and beyond to see the man convicted of his crime.
Parella Lewis can also be seen on Friday and Saturday nights doing the weather for Q13 Fox news at 9pm and 10pm. She has worked in the top severe weather markets across the U.S. and brings her unique knowledge and experience to the Pacific Northwest.
