UPDATE AS OF 10/28/09: Seattle Police report they have arrested the man they believe is behind a stabbing that happened in Ballard earlier this month. On October 27th at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers from the North Precinct's Anti-Crime Team (ACT) located and arrested the suspect. The 28-year old male suspect was arrested in Ballard without incident and booked into the King County Jail on a felony assault and felony identity theft warrant. No word yet on what led to his capture.
-------------ORIGINAL STORY------------------- Alex Oseguera, is charged with assault after police say he turned a night of drinking at the Matador Restaurant and Bar on N.W. Market St. in Ballard into a wild stabbing scene.
Police say just before midnight October 10th, Oseguera got into an argument over a bar tab that ran over $100, and started acting out by throwing small bills at the manager. Police say when Oseguera was asked to leave, he pulled out a knife and stabbed the manager near his kidney, than raised the knife in the air and started screaming in Spanish.
Police say Oseguera got into an Orange cab and disappeared, but not before the cab's surveillance camera snapped two shots of him. He also left his cell phone at the scene which police used to figure out who he is.
The manager was treated at Harborview and survived.
