Sgt. Nancy Spadoni (July 31, 2009) |
Sgt. Spadoni has served with the King County Sheriff's Department for over 20 years. According to fellow officers, she has done so with a passion and commitment to protecting all lives. As a result, she has been a brilliant resource for the Sheriff's Department in 'thinking outside the box'.
Sgt. Spadoni has an extreme love for animals and has long recognized the direct and indisputable link between animal abuse and violent human crimes such as spousal or child abuse, drugs, or worse. She understands that in order to be most effective in protecting society, especially those most vulnerable (women, children, elderly), law enforcement needs to take animal cruelty seriously.
Sgt. Spadoni has developed and taught over the last year several hundred King County Sheriff Officers an extensive and grueling animal cruelty course - one which allows King County Sheriff's Department to be better prepared, more sensitive, and better able to protect those most in need in our communities.
Thank you Nancy - the world is a little more thoughtful and safer because of you!
