Police have found a cache of weapons and homemade bomb-making materials in the Tukwila apartment of the man they suspect of the Halloween killing of Seattle Police Officer Timothy Brenton.

Seattle Police shot a 41 year old man from Tukwila Friday believed to be connected to the slaying of a Seattle police officer. The showdown happened outside a Tukwila apartment complex moments after the funeral procession of Officer Timothy Brenton.

Tukwila Police have confirmed that a suspect in the murder of Officer Timothy Brenton has been shot by a Seattle Police officer.

"The day I pinned his badge on him in the academy is probably the proudest day that I've probably ever had," said Boyd Brenton, the father of slain officer Timothy Brenton.

Slain Seattle Police Officer Timothy Brenton was remembered as a father, brother, husband, friend, teacher and hero at a public memorial service at KeyArena.

Thousands gathered at the Key Arena in a somber memorial to honor SPD Officer Timothy Brenton.

Timothy Quinn Brenton was born in Seattle on February 9, 1970. He spent his early childhood in Poulsbo and Woodinville.
